HOTEL POLICIES/TERMS AND CONDITIONS
La Tour Hotel reserves the right to augment the following policies as required. Be sure to check this page regularly for updates. We are legally bound to share our terms and conditions. Many of these are standard throughout the industry.
ALL ACCOUNTS MUST BE SETTLED IN FULL ON ARRIVAL.
If paying your full account by cheque, THREE WEEKS BANK CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED, otherwise only one cheque per party will be accepted up to the value of your guarantee card.
Cheques should be drawn in Sterling and made payable to LA TOUR HOTEL. Please remember to sign and date your cheque. Returned cheques will incur a charge.
We do not accept Euros or other currencies as payment. Cash payments must be made in Sterling. A cash machine is available within 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Solo, Maestro, Diners and Delta cards. All credit and debit cards are subject to a 5% surcharge for each transaction due to the high fees we are charged by the banks for processing. We can only accept one credit or debit card per party. For your security we also require another form of identification when paying by card. Please be sure to bring a valid form of PHOTO ID with you. (passport, driving licence, etc) WE WILL BE UNABLE TO ACCEPT YOUR CARD WITHOUT PHOTO ID. IF YOUR CREDIT/DEBIT CARD IS USED FOR A DEPOSIT, IT MUST BE PRESENTED ON ARRIVAL SO THAT AN IMPRINT CAN BE MADE FROM IT. This is a new policy we have adopted in an effort to prevent fraud. If you have paid your deposit using a credit/debit card you MUST pay your balance in CASH only. Credit or debit cards can only be accepted when the cardholder is/will be a registered guest at the hotel. **WE HAVE ADOPTED A NEW POLICY WHERE CARDS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FOR FINAL PAYMENT WHEN YOUR BALANCE EXCEEDS £100. OTHERWISE CASH IS THE PREFERRED METHOD OF PAYMENT**

Rooms must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. If a later departure is planned we do have facilities for luggage storage.
Rooms not claimed by 7pm will be re-let unless a late arrival is arranged in advance.
Rooms are available for check-in from 2pm. If an earlier arrival is planned we may be able to check you in before then. Please let us know what time you hope to arrive. If your room is not available we will be able to store your luggage until 2pm.
Reception hours are 8am to 6pm. If you have any queries during your stay please direct them to Reception during these hours. A local information folder is available at Reception for your perusal and more information is available in your room.
Prices quoted on this site are subject to change. However once your deposit has been received and your booking confirmed back to you, the price quoted on your receipt will not change, unless you alter the booking or the VAT rate changes.
Any alterations or cancellations to bookings must be received in writing. Please contact the hotel as soon as possible if you wish to check we can accommodate your alteration.
If you cancel your booking within 6 weeks of arrival a cancellation charge of 66% may be made if the accommodation is not resold.
All prices include full English breakfast. Some prices also include evening meal. There are no refunds for meals not taken. Please ensure you attend promptly for meal times as we cannot keep meals longer than the designated meal time without losing quality.
All prices include VAT at 17.5%. If the VAT rate changes all prices will change.
Children are charged at 60% of the adult rate when sharing a room with 2 full paying adults. We do have special offers for families with more than one child in the same room. Child prices are valid up to age 16. Children having their own room with no adults or sharing a room with only one adult will be charged at the adult rate. In certain circumstances we may be able to reduce the charge - please contact us.
Children sleeping in a cot are charged at £10 per day. Please let us know in advance of your arrival if you require a cot for your child/ren. You are welcome to bring your own travel cot if you prefer.
The hotel has 4 single rooms - no supplement is charged for these. However if a double is used as a single, a supplement of £10 per day will be charged.
During Bank Holiday weekends and throughout the Illuminations there is a minimum stay policy. All Bank Holiday breaks have a minimum 3 night stay. During the Illuminations we cannot accept Saturday to Saturday stays. We can only accept Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday bookings, or a combination of both. Meaning arrival on either a Monday or Friday only.
A deposit of £50 per person (including children) is required to make a reservation when your booking is for 4 nights or more. If your booking is less than 4 nights a deposit of £30 per person is required. In the event of a cancellation deposits will not be refunded. However under certain circumstances we may be able to transfer your deposit to a booking for an alternative date.
We do accept single sex parties however there are minimum stay requirements. Please contact the hotel for more information.
Single rooms have a single bed only and
are not large enough to accommodate a cot/put up bed.
Double rooms have a double bed only. Some are large enough to accommodate a cot.
Twin rooms have two single beds. In some rooms the beds are together, in others
the beds are apart. Some are large enough to accommodate a cot.
Triple rooms have a double bed and a single bed only. Some rooms are large
enough to have 3 single beds or to accommodate a chair/put up bed (for a 4th person) or
a cot.
Quadruple rooms have a double bed and a double sofa bed. All rooms are large
enough to accommodate a cot.
