WAYS TO PAY
CHEQUE/BANK DRAFT - If paying your full account by cheque, THREE WEEKS BANK CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED. We no longer accept personal cheques as payment for your balance at Reception. Bank drafts are acceptable for deposits and balance payments on arrival. Cheques/drafts should be drawn in Sterling and made payable to LA TOUR. Please remember to sign and date your cheque. Returned cheques will incur a charge.
CASH - This is our preferred method of payment. We do not accept Euros or other currencies and cannot exchange them. Cash payments must be made in Sterling. A cash machine is available within 5 minutes walk from the hotel and there are numerous Exchange Bureaux in the town centre.
CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS - We accept Visa, MasterCard, Switch/Solo and Maestro cards. We have previously had a surcharge for card payments but as most people now pay with cards we have withdrawn this. However we do ask that only one card is used per party. Credit or debit cards can only be accepted when the cardholder is/will be a registered guest at the hotel. **WE HAVE ADOPTED A NEW POLICY WHERE CARDS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FOR FINAL PAYMENT WHEN YOUR BALANCE EXCEEDS £100. OTHERWISE CASH IS THE PREFERRED METHOD OF PAYMENT.
PAYPAL - We have a Paypal account for our online booking transactions. You do not need a Paypal account to make a payment to us this way. We can only accept Paypal for your deposit or balance when using our online booking system, not if you have called or emailed your booking to us. We cannot accept e-cheques. If you choose this option your payment will be returned minus Paypal's fees. We do not charge you extra for using Paypal despite their fees so please ensure that you are vigilant with your account details (if you have one) so that chargebacks do not occur.
DEPOSITS
When booking by telephone, fax or email a deposit of £50 per person (including children) is required to make a reservation when your stay is for 4 nights or more. If your booking is less than 4 nights a deposit of £30 per person is required. In the event of a cancellation deposits will not be refunded. However under certain circumstances we may be able to transfer your deposit to a booking for an alternative date. When booking on OUR online booking page you will charged for one night's stay for the total number of rooms booked. This is non-refundable as per our usual cancellation policy. When booking through a third party online website you will be charged either for the full cost of your stay or you can choose to pay just a one night deposit (the balance then due on arrival). If paying in full this can be partially refunded if your cancellation is received within our specified notice period.
PRICING, ALTERATIONS & CANCELLATIONS
Prices quoted on this site are subject to change. However once your deposit has been received and your booking confirmed back to you, the price quoted on your receipt will not change, unless you alter the booking or the VAT rate changes. Any alterations or cancellations to bookings must be received in writing. An email is sufficient for this; it does not need to go through the postal system. We will confirm changes back to you. Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to check we can accommodate your alteration. If you cancel your booking (however it is made) within 6 weeks of arrival a cancellation charge of 66% may be made if the accommodation is not resold. All deposits are non-refundable. The prices on our website include room only, bed and breakfast or dinner, bed and breakfast. There are no refunds for meals not taken. Please ensure you attend promptly for meal times as we cannot keep meals longer than the designated meal time without losing quality. If you book online all bookings are ROOM ONLY BY DEFAULT unless you have chosen a Special Offer deal. Meals can be added and paid for on arrival or choose the meals you require in the options. All prices include VAT at the current rate. If the VAT rate changes all prices will change.
CHILD POLICY
Children are charged at 60% of the adult rate when sharing a room with 2 full paying adults and your booking is made by telephone, fax or email. We do have discount offers for families with more than one child in the same room. Child prices are valid up to age 15. Children having their own room with no adults or sharing a room with only one adult will be charged at the adult rate. In certain circumstances we may be able to reduce the charge - please contact us. Children sleeping in a cot are charged at £10 per day. Please let us know in advance of your arrival if you require a cot for your child/ren as we must hire them. You are welcome to bring your own travel cot if you prefer. Online bookings assume that the room is being occupied by adults and therefore there is no child reduction available on triple or other types of rooms.
ROOM INFORMATION
SINGLES - The property has 8 single rooms - no supplement is charged for these. However if a double is used as a single, a supplement of £10 per day will be charged if booking by telephone, fax or email. If you book online a double to use as a single you will be charged the room rate as if it was at full occupancy (ie 2 people) unless booking a Special Offer deal. Single rooms have a single bed only and are mostly not large enough to accommodate a cot/put up bed.
TRIPLES - There are 4 triple rooms; one with a double bed and a single bed and one with 3 single beds. The remaining two rooms have bunks instead of the single so they can hold up to 4 people. However please note they are mostly let as triples or wheelchair accessible rooms. The two larger rooms can accommodate a cot. DOUBLES/TWINS - There are currently 15 doubles and 17 twin rooms available. Double rooms have a double bed only. Some are large enough to accommodate a cot. Doubles tend to be smaller than twins. Twin rooms have two single beds. In some rooms the beds are together, in others the beds are apart. Some are large enough to accommodate a cot/put up bed.
ROOM AVAILABILITY
Rooms must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. If a later departure is planned we do have facilities for luggage storage. Rooms not claimed by 7pm will be re-let unless a late arrival is arranged in advance. Rooms are available for check-in from 2-3pm. If an earlier arrival is planned we may be able to check you in before then. Please let us know what time you hope to arrive. If your room is not available we will be able to store your luggage until it is. There is a minimum stay policy during mid and high seasons of two nights. During Bank Holiday weekends and throughout the Illuminations this often increases to 3 nights. We do accept single sex parties however there are minimum stay requirements. RECEPTION INFORMATION
Reception hours are 800am to 530pm. If you have any queries during your stay please direct them to Reception during these hours. A local information folder is available at Reception for your perusal and more information is available in your room.
