In early 2007 we completed an extensive refurbishment of our bedrooms on the ground floor and also most of the rooms on the third floor.  In 2008 we refurbished the rooms on the second floor and our dining room.  In 2009 we redecorated all our public areas including corridors.  Almost all our rooms are now non smoking.  We have kept a small number of rooms on the second floor rear corridor available for those who wish to smoke.  (Currently 3 singles, 1 double, 4 twins) In line with Government policy all public areas have become non smoking areas from July 1st 2007.  You may still smoke in the outside areas of the property and in the designated rooms on the second floor.

DISABLED ACCESS

There is a lift to all floors and a wheelchair ramp at the front of the property.  A number of rooms are suitable for guests in wheelchairs or with other mobility difficulties.  There is a small step (approx 2-3 inches) from the kerb to the wheelchair ramp and again at the bottom of the ramp, over the door frame into the property.  Please email us with your needs and we will do our utmost to meet them. 

CUISINE

An extensive choice of high quality food awaits you at La Tour.  Vegetarians, diabetics and other diets can be catered for with prior notice in our modern dining room.  We offer an extensive buffet style breakfast every morning as well as the traditional cooked breakfast served to your table.  The buffet includes a choice of cereals, fruit juices, grapefruit segments, fresh fruit, yogurts and more.  Unlimited tea or coffee is available at your table as well as lots of toast.  Evening meal is usually three courses as well as tea or coffee during the season.  Our special Turkey Tinsel breaks and both Christmas and New Year have more extensive courses available.

LOUNGE BAR & ENTERTAINMENT

The cabaret lounge, featuring a Licensed bar and Karaoke & Bar Games, has a very friendly atmosphere where you can relax or join in with the fun.  It easily seats 90 guests.  We have an Entertainments Manager who will ensure that you are entertained throughout your stay as well as numerous artistes most evenings throughout the season.  We also serve fresh filtered coffee, tea, sandwiches and other bar snacks for those late night cravings and during the afternoon.  The bar opens at 4pm (earlier by prior arrangement), closing times vary.  All music and entertainment must be switched off at 1am for us to maintain our license.

LOCATION & PARKING

Situated in the town centre La Tour is within easy walking distance of numerous public car parks.  There is FREE on street parking available directly opposite the building for guests with disabled badges - please ensure you display badges correctly or you may be ticketed!  Those without will be directed to secure and reasonably priced facilities.  Blackpool has recently started a pay and display on street parking charge.  Be sure to arrive with change for the machines if you intend to park on street.  (Maximum times apply and unfortunately fines will be charged if they are exceeded).  Charges are currently 10 pence for 10 minutes with a maximum stay of 120 minutes.  No return is allowed within 4 hours. Operational hours are 9am-6pm approximately.

ATTRACTIONS/TRANSPORT CLOSE BY

The Winter Gardens is directly behind us so we are ideally placed for conference delegates, exhibitors and Dance Festival attendees.  We are less than 5 minutes walk from Blackpool Tower, excellent shopping and Blackpool's hottest nightclubs, as well as theatres, Grundy Art Museum and numerous restaurants and cafes. 

Bus and train terminals are less than 10 minutes walk away and you can easily get a taxi from our Free-phone in the Reception.  If you are arriving at an International airport we can arrange a taxi transfer for you.  Please contact us with your arrival and departure times.  Blackpool airport is only 10 minutes drive from us (traffic dependent).

PET POLICY

We accept some pets although they are restricted to certain areas of the property.  We do not make a charge for pets although guests must ensure that any "accidents" are cleaned up.  Failure to do so will result in a cleaning charge being levied.  Please email us with your questions/concerns.  There is a very large park within 15-20 minutes walk of the town centre that allows dogs and certain areas of the beach also allow animals.  Blackpool Council operates a fining system for those who do not clean up after their pets.
