Our dining room was refurbished in 2008.  We installed a beautiful marble floor and redecorated the room.  It is now bright and airy even though located in the basement!  It is spacious and easily seats 85 people.

Breakfast is usually served 830am to 930am.  Dinner is served at 6pm sharp.  We can alter the mealtimes if there are various things happening in town that the majority of our guests are attending (ie dance festivals). Please enquire at Reception on arrival and check any signs posted in the hotel for altered times.

Special diets can be catered for with prior notice. We regularly provide vegetarian and diabetic meals for those guests who require them. We offer numerous dishes and there is a choice available at every mealtime. All food is home made by our excellent chefs and local produce is used wherever possible. Food is prepared fresh each day with certain dishes cooked to order.

We serve freshly prepared sandwiches and snacks during the afternoon (12-3pm) in the bar area, if you would rather eat with us than in the town.  There are various fillings available each day and we also have a daily choice of snack, such as chocolate brownies, flapjacks, scones with jam, etc.  Tea or coffee is also available or a drink from the bar if you prefer.

Guests are asked to pre order their evening meal each morning so that we can ensure efficient service.  We are one of the last town centre properties to do this and due to the economic climate it has become necessary to ensure as little waste as possible.  We hope our regular clients understand and that it does not dissuade you from staying with us.  Guests are requested to sit at the same table at each meal. You will be shown to your table on your first night by our friendly dining staff. As well as our dining staff taking your order you will also be asked by a member of the bar staff for drinks with your meal. 

Evening meal consists of 3 courses plus tea or coffee. This may be taken into the bar or patio area if you wish to smoke. We operate a strict NO SMOKING POLICY within the dining area for the benefit of all our guests and staff alike. All guests are required to wear suitable clothing whilst in the dining room - sleepwear is not permitted and shoes must be worn.
